Traveling around the world can be a thrilling experience. Nonetheless, creating a detailed travel schedule requires a significant amount of online research.
But not if you heed the advice of American travelers Hudson and Emily, who have visited a total of 167 countries and compiled a top 20 list of must-see destinations, thereby saving you the time and effort of spending weeks browsing through information online.
Social media account and shared what they loved about each country with MailOnline Travel.
There’s a country on the African continent with cities that are as visually charming as Santorini, a South Asian nation that showcases some of the world’s most striking mountains and a South American destination renowned for having the world’s most stunning waterfall.

Argentina
The couple described Patagonia, a territory co-governed by Argentina and Chile, as ‘unlike any other place’ and Iguazu Falls, situated on the border between Argentina’s Misiones province and Brazil’s Parana state, as ‘the most beautiful waterfall in the world’.
They added that Buenos Aires is “an incredible city”.
Switzerland
Switzerland is regarded as one of the world’s consistently beautiful countries, where each hike and train ride exhilarates.
Indonesia
They stated that Indonesia cannot be missed because of its “beautiful islands like Bali and Raja Ampat along with volcanoes like Mount Bromo”.
Iceland
They mentioned Iceland as ‘one of the easiest countries to explore via road trip to see volcanoes, waterfalls, lagoons, black sand beaches, and more’.
USA
Of America’s most striking landscapes, grand natural wonders such as the Grand Canyon, Hawaii’s rugged Nā Pali Coast, and majestic national parks like Yosemite and Yellowstone stood out as the highlights.
Maldives
This tiny country in Asia is home to some of the world’s most beautiful beaches, said Hudson and Emily. “You can opt for luxury resorts or affordable local islands to stay.” During their travels, they typically stay in budget-friendly accommodations to make their money go as far as possible.
New Zealand
The couple said this country has “beautiful mountains and scenic views like Milford Sound/Piopiotahi”, a fjord located in the southwest of New Zealand’s South Island.
Oman
In this ‘safe and easy country to drive through’, Hudson and Emily said you can ‘camp in the desert, swim in a river valley, hike in the mountains, and encounter some of the kindest people’. The couple added: ‘In the countries we’ve explored so far, we’ve had many more positive interactions with people than negative.’
Pakistan
The north of Pakistan, they said, is possibly home to the most beautiful mountains globally, paired with some of the friendliest people.
Seychelles
The Seychelles boasts ‘some of the world’s most beautiful beaches’. During their visit, the couple noted that you can spot ‘iconic granite boulders right on the beach’.
The couple claimed that Kenya boasts some of the “best safaris in Africa,” “great beaches,” and “the best views of Mount Kilimanjaro.”
Italy
What’s not to like? The couple said: ‘[There’s] Roman history everywhere, incredible food and the natural beauty of Lake Como, the Amalfi Coast and the Dolomites.’
Canada
‘Friendly people’, and ‘pretty mountains and lakes’ make Canada unmissable, according to Hudson and Emily.
French Polynesia
French Polynesia, a semi-autonomous region of France, is one of the most stunning destinations globally, they said. ‘You can swim with humpback whales and manta rays, ride mopeds around entire islands, and stay in a picturesque over-water bungalow.’
Australia
There’s a wide range of activities to partake in, the couple noted, including scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef and driving along the Gold Coast to exploring kangaroos.
Tunisia
The couple recommended Tunisia due to its ‘ancient ruins, beautiful beaches and picturesque cities that rival Santorini in Greece’.
Japan
Japan makes the list due to its ‘incredible culture, food and natural beauty’. The couple added: ‘Tokyo might be the world’s coolest big city.’
Kyrgyzstan
Kyrgyzstan has ‘some of the most beautiful mountains in the world where you can sleep in a yurt and meet some of the last golden eagle hunters’. The couple added: ‘There are so many beautiful mountains around Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan.’
Namibia
This country in Southern Africa is home to ‘one of the oldest, most beautiful deserts’ [Namib Desert] alongside ‘incredibly friendly indigenous people’.
Fiji
On this ‘beautiful tropical island’ in the South Pacific, the couple said: ‘You can go scuba diving with a huge variety of animals, like bull sharks.’
