Hyundai Ioniq 5 N 2024 Review

Lamborghini’s new electric car concept has “over one megawatt” and is a “high ground-clearance” departure from the norm.

emerged.

drives a Hyundai Ioniq 5 N as their regular vehicle.

But car makers, particularly those in the supercar game, are always spying on their competitors’ cars, and since Lamborghini is getting ready to launch its first electric supercar, why wouldn’t they take a closer look at an Ioniq 5 N?

The electric high-performance car was a real game-changer for the South Korean brand, which had hardly any experience with fast cars before launching its ‘N’ performance brand back in 2015. The Ioniq 5 N eclipsed it in 2024.

With 448kW/740Nm, the dual-motor Ioniq 5 N was widely rated in the car community as the first fully electric performance car that’s really worth getting excited about thanks to intuitive features like an e-shift, an electric transmission that mimics the feel of an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.

It’s quick as well, hitting 0 to 100km/h in just over 3.4 seconds, which is only about 0.9 seconds shy of the wild Lamborghini Revuelto with its V12 plug-in hybrid that packs a whoppin’ 299kW more grunt.

Lamborghini has already confirmed its first electric vehicle is on the way, following the unveiling of its Lanzador concept car in 2023.

Initially slated for a 2028 release, Lamborghini pushed back the limited edition’s arrival to 2029 due to a waning market demand. But who knows, perhaps they just needed more time to scope out the competition.
