Singapore Airlines, voted the world’s most loved international airline, ranked third in the Asia-Pacific region for punctuality last year, with a remarkable on-time performance rate of 78.67%, according to data from travel analytics firm Cirium.
This accomplishment positioned Emirates in second place, coming close behind Japan Airlines (80.9%) and All Nippon Airways (80.62%).
Cirium defines a flight as “on time” if it arrives or departs within 14 minutes and 59 seconds of its scheduled time period.
Vietnam Airlines, the national flag carrier of Vietnam, took sixth place in the region with a punctuality rate of 76.7%.
Globally, Aeromexico, Mexico’s national airline, took the top spot as the most punctual airline with a punctuality score of 86.7%.
The airline received its second “World’s Best Award” last July due to its “excellent in-flight service and cabin comfort.”
The airline has consistently upheld a high standard for safety, service, and customer satisfaction over several years.
