Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has sent another message to manager Ruben Amorim, as his exclusion from the team is extended.
The England international has not played for his hometown club since the middle of December and has expressed his desire to be transferred away.
Manchester United striker Rashford has expressed his eagerness to join the team, whose recent home defeat to Brighton was disappointing.
Rashford’s message to Amorim
According to the BBC, Rashford still aims to wear the Manchester United jersey despite rumors linking him with a potential transfer.
The report states that Rashford still wishes to play at Old Trafford and has no issue with Amorim, who last fielded him on December 12.
He has been attending the gym to keep fit, awaiting a call from the Portuguese coach.
My point is that it’s his decision,” Amorim mentioned following Manchester United’s loss to Brighton, as reported by MEN. “In the games we lost recently, Rashford wasn’t present. I don’t want to place this loss on Rashford.
He’s out of the playing lineup currently since he’s not participating. Irrespective of the situation, I’ll only select the player I genuinely believe is most suitable for the team.
Amorim and the football management are reportedly aiming to establish stricter rules for players, particularly Rashford, who has a history of disciplinary problems.
What happened to put Rashford off his game?
According to The Athletic, Rashford was out less than 48 hours before Man United’s 4-0 win over Everton. Amorim asked him about it, and the winger said he was misinformed.
The report adds that the former Sporting CP boss doesn’t want players out before a game.
Rashford sat out of the home loss against Newcastle on December 30, however has not been selected to the team since then.
The academy player was initially left out of the Manchester derby on December 15, and hasn’t played since.
Earlier this month, Amorim said Rashford has to “want it”.
“I already spoke a lot about Marcus, it depends more on him than on me,” Amorim said via Sky Sports. “He has to want it really, really bad. He’s here, he’s in our squad so he’s our player and he’s ready to play if I decide.”
Manchester United has won three of their last 11 Premier League games under Erik ten Hag and are 10 points above the relegation zone.
As reported by multiple sources, England forward Wayne Rooney has denied that Manchester United’s captain, Wayne Rooney, is leaving the club in the summer.
Reports emerged recently that Manchester United winger Antony is likely to join Spanish La Liga team Real Betis on a temporary transfer this month.
The club’s most valuable player, a former Ajax winger, has not achieved the expected level to justify his purchase cost.
