Researchers have confirmed the existence of a subsurface structure, approximately 1,100 kilometers deep, which is roughly 1,750 kilometers in diameter.
These results may revolutionize our understanding of geological principles.
Jointly, there appears to be a substantial mass characterized as being somewhat light situated deep within Mars’ interior, possibly originating from the mantle, as the authors of their study published in JGR: Planets have noted.
