Parents and students across Kenya are eagerly waiting for the release of the 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination outcomes.
Have Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education results been delayed for 2024?
The Ministry of Education has provided assurance to stakeholders and the Kenyan public that the results will be released without any delay.
Kenya’s Senior Education Official, Belio Kipsang, confirmed on Thursday, December 26th, 2024, that the exam results will be announced on time, similar to last year, despite concerns of possible delays.
“We’re releasing results in January for the second year now. The issue is that when we release in December, we always apologize for rushing to get the results out,” said Dr. Kipsang.
Kipsang also rejected the allegations of manipulation, assuring parents and students that the integrity of the results remains unchanged.
The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) is currently finalizing the analysis of results for the largest KCSE cohort on record.
The council is also examining outcomes from the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA), contributing to its workload.
Education stakeholders, led by the Kenya Secondary Schools Heads Association (KESSHA), have asked KNEC to be transparent. KESSHA Chairman Willy Kuria repeated the need to get rid of ranking systems and review the teacher promotions based on performance, which they say create too much pressure and encourage cheating.
“Student development should be supported through comprehensive policies rather than solely by a single test score,” stated Mr. Kuria.
Dr. Kipsang assured the public that examiners had sufficient time to confirm accuracy and fairness.
“Each student will be rewarded with the grade which they have earned over the course of their four years of diligent efforts,” he stated.

The Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) 2024 results will be available in 10 days from December 26, 2024, stated PS Kipsang.
Assuming the waiting period has expired, it is reasonable to expect the results to be announced at any moment this week.
